In case you haven't seen/heard, our district manager was in yesterday and she made the decision to remove 3 of your pieces for having religious undertones. I don't think we could expect anything less from a corporate slave like her, especially considering the former controversy about a Christian rock act that performed at our store several years ago. (Apparently that debacle garnered enough attention to have her name discussed on the Mark Belling radio show.)
Heaven forbid some soccer mom get offended by the Virgin Mary's silhouette in a piece of art. She'd have to get her decaf single venti nonfat two-and-a-half Splenda® extra hot no foam easy whip latté elsewhere after dropping Jehnni and Derric off at school in the morning.
Shawn, your gallery looks phenomenal in our café! The presentation is wonderfully balanced, and the pieces you chose have a definite sense of unity. Everyone loves the art, and Calin is actually interested in buying the tree picture. (So make sure you talk to her about that!)
I'd say that our buddy Billy Knight would be shamed by your work, but I doubt he'd know good art if it slapped him in the face.
